Our History
Stump Grinding Northwest was founded by Jeff Taylor in 1995 and has served residential and commercial customers throughout the Greater Seattle area for more than 25 years.
In 2020, longtime family friend Jacob Gleichman purchased the company from Jeff and became its owner and operator. Jacob continues the company’s established focus on reliable communication, specialized equipment and thorough stump grinding work.

Meet the Owner & Operator
Jacob Gleichman has owned and operated Stump Grinding Northwest since 2020. He personally handles both estimates and project work, giving customers one consistent point of contact from the first conversation through completion.
Jacob serves homeowners, businesses, contractors and property managers throughout the region, using both standard and portable equipment for accessible and difficult-to-reach projects.
Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, golfing and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
