Our History
Jeff Taylor, the founder of Stump Grinding Northwest in 1995, dedicated years of hard work and passion to establish the exceptional reputation the business is known for today.
As we reached the year 2020, Jeff was looking forward to his well-deserved retirement. His dream, however, was not to see his life's work absorbed by another company; he wanted to pass the torch to a committed single owner who would carry forward the legacy of the business, just as he had done.

Jacob Gleichman, a long-time family friend, has now succeeded Jeff.

Jacob has been the owner/operator of Stump Grinding Northwest since 2020 after purchasing the company from Jeff.​

Jacob takes immense pride in being an entrepreneur who understands that success is built on a foundation of unwavering dedication, innovation, and client satisfaction. These principles guide his every decision and action, ensuring that Stump Grinding Northwest remains not just a business, but a symbol of his commitment to delivering exceptional service to every client.

Jacob enjoys skiing, golfing, staying active however he can, and spending time with his wife, family and friends. He is a passionate Seahawks and Mariners fan and hopes to attend a World Series baseball game in Seattle!
