Efficient Grinding for Accessible Projects
For standard-access projects, we use a Vermeer SC362 stump grinder. This professional, self-propelled machine combines a 35-horsepower engine with a powerful cutting wheel to grind large stumps and surface roots efficiently.
The SC362 is approximately 35 inches wide, allowing it to pass through many backyard gates while still providing the power needed for residential and commercial projects. Its maneuverable design works best on relatively flat, ground-level properties with a clear access route.
The machine can grind below ground level, helping prepare the area for soil, grass or future landscaping. The exact grinding depth and treatment of surface roots are confirmed during the estimate based on your plans for the property.
What we consider an easy-access project

RELATIVELY FLAT, GROUND-LEVEL ACCESS
The stump can be reached across mostly level terrain without steep slopes, major elevation changes or unstable ground.

AT LEAST 36 INCHES OF CLEARANCE
Gates, walkways and access routes provide enough unobstructed width for our Vermeer SC362 stump grinder to pass through safely.

A CLEAR, UNOBSTRUCTED ROUTE
The access route is free of long stairs, high retaining walls, tight turns and other obstacles that prevent safe equipment movement.
